Sean is a Vancouver native who completed his studies at Simon Fraser University, where he majored in Business and Anthropology. Following graduation Sean joined a boutique consulting firm, working with Fortis BC, the National Research Council of Canada and the University of British Colubia, among others. Before launching Global Catalyst Initiative, he worked with Procter & Gamble. Sean is former Chair of Global Agents, a Vancouver-based social incubator, and currently advises a variety of start-ups and NGOs.
Passionate about building scalable, intelligently designed enterprises with global impact, Shawn teaches social entrepreneurship and supports social innovation program design at Simon Fraser University. He is the co-founder of several successful organizations, including Education Generation, Global Agents, the Equilibrium Partnership and Radiant Carbon Offsets. His ventures and consulting touch on Europe, Africa, South America, North America and Asia. Shawn is a graduate of Simon Fraser University and holds an MBA from Oxford where he attended as a Skoll Scholar in Social Entrepreneurship.
Nanjala holds a MSc in African Studies as well as a MSc in Forced Migration from Oxford University, and is currently completing her degree at Harvard Law. Nanjala is a Kenyan national with experience at International Criminal Court, the UNDP, and the International Organization for Migration. As a freelance journalist and political analyst, she has contributed the Guardian, the Nairobi Metro, Al Jazeera English and the BBC.
